Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk Hand Fasting Celebrant Services
Traditionally, this is an old Celtic custom which can be a stand alone ceremony or part of your wedding celebration or civil partnership. Originally a couple would have a hand fasting ceremony to commit to each other up to a year before their formal wedding.
In the ceremony, the couple will have their hands secured together with rope, ribbon or braid as a formal sign of their dedication to each other. This is where the phrase ‘tying the knot’ originates.
This is a beautiful ancient custom suitable for any couple in love wanting to show their union in a very visual way.
